The Bar Association of Baltimore City Lawyer Referral and Information Service is a community service designed to help you with your legal matter. The program is intended to match paying clients in need of legal services with lawyers by practice to handle legal problems. These lawyers are not volunteers or reduced fee program lawyers.
- 100+ Attorneys. Our lawyers must be in good standing with the Supreme Court of Maryland and The Bar Association of Baltimore City, and carry liability insurance.
- 100,000+ Referrals. Since 1956 the Baltimore City Bar Association has provided referral services to the community.
- 150+ Practice Areas. Attorneys are standing by in most areas of law.

To receive a referral to a qualified attorney, there is a fee of $35. This fee is paid to LRIS and entitles you to a half-hour consultation with the attorney in their office. During or after the consultation, representation fees and services will have to be arranged between you and the attorney if you decide to hire the attorney. The $35 fee is waived for matters related to: Lead Paint, Malpractice, Personal Injury, SSDI/SSI, Unemployment, Workers’ Compensation, and to all Active Members of the Military.
